ABOUT
ENVISIONSTEM
March 14, 2021: Founded on Pi Day, EnvisonSTEM began as a small student-led non-profit dedicated to fostering interest in STEM for all students with hands-on STEM applications in New York. We believed that these interactive heuristic applications would boost their self-confidence, help them discover talents and skills, and push forward a passion for STEM.
However, we noticed a common issue: Classrooms often don’t encourage students to apply their curiosity and creativity in STEM.
September 5, 2021: To tackle this issue, we decided to branch out our organization to reach students and teachers from around the nation.
EnvisionSTEM's History
Who We Are
Teachers are a huge influence, arguably the pillars of our society. They have the superpower to simplify the complex, open up young minds, spark lifelong passions, and ultimately shape them to be the next leaders of the future. However, every student learns differently. This can be a huge problem for even the best of teachers; in some cases, students grow up learning for the pure sake of passing a class because of poor teaching methods. As a result, we are providing every student from around the nation with a unique platform to share their voice to cover a wide range of ideas, stories, and perspectives in STEM learning to encourage thinking over content in STEM classrooms and in their community.

Shiv Parmar
Hello everyone! My name is Shiv Parmar and I am currently a junior at Lodi High School, also involved in dual-enrollment. I am excited to be involved in this research project, and am also conducting research on the effects on motor and neural circuits from the mechanism of compensatory masquerade of neuroplasticity relating to Parkinson’s disease. I am involved in research through being a cancer student intern at the Hackensack Meridian Health Center for Discovery and Innovation, and am also involved in other neuroscience-based studies through stroke rehabilitation and Alzheimer’s disease medication analysis. Within the future, I hope to pursue the field of medicine and neuroscience through being a student-volunteer at my local hospital and involved in the HOSA competition. Some of my hobbies include playing tennis, watching football, and going for late-night walks. I look forward to a successful research study!
